8' Ladder

I'm looking to start hauling a ladder on my 315 Cougar fifth wheel.

what size of ladder does everyone carry with them?
Where do you haul it on the fifth wheel?
Should I have a extension or folding ladder?
What length or height?

Thanks for the ideas.

I carry a 12' extension ladder. It fits in the front cargo area and doesn't take up very much space. If you choose this type, be VERY CAREFUL when collapsing the ladder. It can be a "finger pincher" or worse if you don't pay attention. That said, it's stabile, easy to use, easy to store and sturdy enough that I often "go for it rather than my 20' extension ladder that's stored in the pole barn.

I use one like the one in this link only 7':
https://www.campingworld.com/6%27-co...der-20318.html

It's worked well for us, it's light and takes up minimal space, plus the square collapsed shape fits well in the pass thru. I do however think I'll buy one like John mentioned and just throw it in the truck for a little more versatility.

I carry the same/similar to what John showed. Works great, fairly light weight and doesn't take up much room.

They vary depending on brand. I have an Ohuhu 12.5' with 330 lb rating.

I bought the 12' ladder similar to what John pictured. I find it a great ladder for use around the property; all our buildings are one story except the laundry room attached to the house and it is a one and a half stories and the 12' allowed me to put an OTA antenna at the peak (on the side). I keep the ladder up front compartment in my 5ver and when in use on the camper, I position it on top the rear camper ladder which is designed for someone younger and more skinny than me. The 12' ladder is kept very solidly in place that way.
