Two blowouts on the driver's side, 2013 Raptor 310. Took out one fuel tank, miscellaneous wiring, lower panels and trim. Camping world fixed it to the tune of 9K. Is that what you're after?

About four years ago... blow out with a "BlowMax" tire. Luck had it just the aluminum skirt had to be replaced. Had it repaired in Pocatello, Idaho at Park-A-Way RV. $1,300 total.

Not to steal the thread, but does insurance cover any of the damages?? Would it fall under the comprehensive damage part of the policy?

If by some chance you had Goodyear tires & saved the carcasses GY will replace the tires & repair the damage. Otherwise contact your insurance. When asking about $$$ for anything on a rv usually just double what you think it would cost.

Blu, in that the tires failed two weeks apart, what you are looking at has become two different incidents, insurance-wise. That means two deductibles. And two different claims on your policy. It better be considerable damage if you go that way.

Thank to all for the replies. One would think the way 5ers are designed, some engineer hasn't figured a way to some how "cage" the tires to minimize damage on the slides and underbelly--- I'm just saying!

How 'bout just using tires that are rated for the weights & speeds of the rv. Building/designing/installing a cage sounds much more expensive, then the folks installing them would have half of them upside down, than just getting rid of the cheap a## blow pops they buy by the truck load. Some of the brands folks are saying came on their rv no one EVER heard of, makes you wonder if some Chinese guy is making them in his garage.
