Talking Goodbye ED Hello Chateau ED!

ED - short for Extended Domicile. We just traded in our 2008 25rks Jayco for a brand new 2013 Alpinie 3555RL. This baby demanded a step up in how we named him. Chateau ED is perfect. Our Alpine came with the Chateau Package! Before actually picking up our rv, but after we had a deposit on it, I began reading the forums. I couldn't sleep until we picked up Chateau ED. There was so much negative I was totally freaking out thinking we had made a terrible mistake. We (my husband and I), started this adventure well knowing there would be many bumps along the way though, so we will take the bumps as they come and look at them as further "adventures" to tell stories about.
I am sitting in ED as I am typing this. It is 100 outside, and I am cool and comfy at 72 degrees. I will tell you though, we got here about 7pm last night and it was 108 outside. We turned on both ACs and it took 3 hours to get nice and cool in the main living area. The bedroom was cool much faster. It also took overnight to get the refrigerator cooled down. That was pretty much expected though. We spent our first night close to home....just in case. Today, we are going "up the hill" to our property up north. ED will be staying there until we adventure down to Rocky Point, Mexico in October. Brakes....I must mention brakes. Apparently, my hubby, failed to really adjust the brakes on the trailer before we headed out yesterday. Thankfully, it was a "flat" ride. However, one rather hard stop left the front brakes billowing out smoke. Hmmmm....anyway, we are not starting up the hill, until the brakes are set properly. Finding a 5th wheel, finding a toy vehicle, trading in a trailer, and selling our 2006 Honda Goldwing, all within less than 2 weeks has been an adventure in itself! We are so excited about our new little "condo" on wheels!
