Added a Power station to the Fuzion 405

Decided to put in a power station to charge cell phones, ipads, and 2 way radio/GPS units. Coming back from a days hunt it was always a chore to find enough places to plug everything into for recharging. The large bare space on the end of the cupboard seemed like a good central location for this set up.

Slick! Nice job.

I assume it uses 12V straight vs a stepdown from 110V?

Do you have a link for information on the device? I put in one of the 110V wall sockets with the USB charging ports, but you can't use the 110V socket if the USB is plugged in next to it. This looks like a good option.

Thanks.

I got it from Amazon. They have different pieces you can put in if you don't like the configuration. I bought an additional duel USB port and swapped out the on/off switch. Ended up wiring in the on/off switch next to it anyways so I can turn off the whole thing if needed.

I tapped into the wires going to the 12V light switch that turns the light on over the counter top area.

I'm also going to put in a duel USB unit by the master Bed, both bunks in the garage and in the loft. Seems everyone uses their phones as alarm clocks now so sleeping close to them is the norm and letting them charge over night makes sense.

Thanks for the info. Good luck with your dual unit mod.

We added a similar power point to our Cougar. It's only three "holes" but the in-line arrangement worked better for the space I wanted to install it. Regardless of which one you decide to use, if it has the voltage monitor, you'll definitely want a power switch to turn it off. It's not supposed to draw much power, but between the radio backlighting, memory circuits, the propane detector and the remote control system, there's enough "silent drain" on the battery without adding a LED voltage monitor.

Oh by the way, the LED monitor comes in red, blue, green and white, so choose what meets your "I'd rather" color.....

Started all the other charging stations with a 12 inch long 2 X 2 X 1/8 wall square aluminum tubing. Cut into lengths needed.

Milled out holes to fit.

Painted black and ports installed.

Locations for the Bunks in the garage.

Location in the corner of the master bed.
