another sewer post

hello, I have a 2007 everest 295T new to us does anyone know if the black and gray tanks are connected they look seperate concerning the flush of black tank with the gray water or do I need to empty seperate thankyou

Typically there is a separate drain valve for the black and the gray tank(s) if I understand your question correctly - and you drain them separately, black first.

Occasionally, if I notice the black tank valve not wanting to close all the way, I will open it back up, lift up the drain hose and open the grey tank valve so the grey water backs up into the black tank, flushing whatever is in the valve. I don't use one of the add-on valves at the outside location of our drain line, but that would also work.
