I travel full. The added weight makes the trailer ride better and I have concerns about sloshing with a partially full tank

If your trailer cargo load is such that the trailer is appropriately loaded, not overweight and cargo is balanced, then you "shouldn't have any problems".... That said, it's possible to load a trailer "to the GVW" with personal items, then add 43 gallons of water in the FW tank, have "half full black/gray" tanks and wind up being nearly 1000 pounds overweight....

So, within reason, you should be OK, but watch your other cargo to make sure you're trailer isn't overweight and that you maintain the 10-15% tongue weight to total weight ratio.

We never use what is in the tank for anything but washing and flushing and I keep some in it for use on the road. Same thing if camping with water hookups.

Cooking, coffee, drinking, etc comes from 2.5 gallon jugs or individual bottles.

If we are going to be dry camping, which is the norm for us, I will pull into a FH campground and fill up. Most of them will allow you to pay for a fill up and dump and I drop back in and dump on my way out.
