I'm going to agree with the masses here, get the pair of 2000's. Combined they will run the 15k A/C and you have redundancy. If one goes down you still have 120 volts. No A/C but micro, TV and battery maintenance. Oh yeah- toaster, coffee maker......

Another advantage to using two 2,000 watt Honda's instead of one 3,000 watt Honda is, 3,200 watt continuous for the pair of 2,000's compared to 2,800 watts continuous for a single 3,000 watt unit. Not much, but may be just the extra needed at times.

We have a EU3000i with 8" wheel kit added. We also have an onboard Onan 4K, what we find is that during most of day and night we can run the Honda. It gets better fuel economy and is much quieter, but when we are needing more power at say dinner when lots of stuff is going on Tvs Microwaves, fans A/C I run the Onan but still you have to manage power consumption. But I love the Honda because I can fill it in the evening and never worry about until the morning. It is heavy and even more when full of fuel but the wheels make it manageable. We have a toyhauler so rolling it up the ramp into the Camper is the hardest task I have.

Well, I think the consensus is get the pair if 2000's. I really appreciate everyone's input and will be reading back on all the posts.

I guess if your not needing the a/c, you can just run the companion for basic lights etc. Very cool.

I hate to say it but I have this generator and it is money. will power your 15k btu, and everything else. pretty easy to move around, I can easily lift it and it fits under the hatch. I highly recommend. plus 699? hard to beat. its very very quiet too. no complaints from me so far. By the way you can parallel them up and have 6000 watts of power for $1400!
