Propane leak at regulator

I was helping put our son's Passport trailer away for the winter when they mentioned they could smell propane. When I investigated I could tell propane was leaking from the bottom of the regulator. It should be an easy fix. It's leaking around the threaded fitting at the bottom of the regulator. It looks easy enough to remove and repair. What should I use as thread sealer.
Thanks

The threaded part needs LP compatible thread sealant. Either YELLOW tape or YELLOW rectors #5. NO SEALANT on the flare fitting.

Just wanted to post a follow up. I just got around to doing the repair today. Turns out the propane regulator was faulty and leaking propane. Replaced and used sealant as suggested.
Thanks for your help.
Much appreciated!
