Lets shake things up

well it already shakes so lets stop it!

Decided to create my own Strongarm. 1/2" conduit inside 3/4" conduit. Sorta welded on a nut(welder I am not), extend stabilizer and tighten nut. Only did one so far at the rear of the trailer. Might at a second one up front going the other way.

Hmmm...thanks for sharing. It looks like a professional job. My curiosity has the best of me though. I wonder if conduit is strong enough. Have you seen a JT? Is it thin wall stuff like the conduit? Keep us posted how well it works.

Ive not actually seen any in person. I did a search online and another fella had this done on his rig, said it worked well. Seems fairly strong though.

I have enough material on hand to make another, not sure if I should do another in the rear or one up front.

BAL stabilizers recommend a total of 6 bars. Two opposing the jacks on the rear (to reduce lateral movement) and four on the front: two opposing as in the rear and two running along the sides to help reduce fore/aft movement.

I know that seems like "overkill" but when I installed our BAL system, I started with 4 on the front and we still had some movement. After installing the two on the rear, it was "night and day" difference in the movement we felt inside the trailer.

I never really notice as much movement I find in the front, it always seems like its the rear. And its always side to side vs front to back. I mean I can totally make some more, but for now I only want to try one or two.
