Howdy from OKC (Edmond)
Hi y'all,
Little slow to join the forum, we purchased our 2017 29RKPR in June 2016. So far we've logged 12,500+ miles with it behind our 2015 F150 XLT Supercrew 4x4.
We bought the truck in 2015 upon our transfer from Denver to OKC. This was our first empty nest situation and after a few trips back to Denver to see the kids (and a trip to the RV show) we decided an RV might be better that flying/hotel for Denver visits. Well we've been lots more places that that!
I studied for months, spreadsheets, searches, etc. Finally came up with the biggest, lightest unit I could find. So far, so good. Ya know, a few probs here and there. The most recent was propane reg decided to go haywire this last trip. I fixed it today, just a little gunked up inside. This is our first RV so lots of learning but we've got it down to a science now (I think)
We've been to CO a few times, ID once, SD (Rushmore) once, made a trip to Ventura CA (hometown) spring 2017 via I40 there and back. We just got back Monday from Branson, MO.
Soooo, that's us. Hoping to learn lots here on the forums.
Roy

Where do you all stay in Branson? We’ve stayed at the SDC Wilderness campground a couple times and wondered if there was anything better.

We love Table Rock State Park. We are staying in Kimberling City at the Marina campground this time. We have stayed at Branson Lakeside by the landing. Too close for my comfort but a nice campground on Lake Taneycomo.

Table Rock State Park looks nice. We couldn’t get a full hookup so we looked elsewhere. Never looked at Kimberling City, may look at it next time.

We stayed at America's Best Campground the first two nights. Not impressed. Gravel slot with no trees. about 6 feet of grass and a table. Completely un-level, barely had enough blocks to get jacks down.
Moved to the Table Rock State Park Campground 2 and it was great. Full hookup, cement pad, fire ring, so nice. We did have to move once because the first site was booked. Bit of a pain but worth it.
Oh and ABC was $43/nite and TRSP was $23/nite.

Location wise, we did almost the opposite. We’re from Stillwater OK., and ended up in Ventura, CA., lived on a sailboat for almost 2 years before trading it in for a fifth wheel.
Were now Texans and still enjoying the traveling lifestyle.
Best of luck to you.
