New Member in Oregon

Hello from Oregon. Just traded in our 36 foot Class A on a new Cougar 327RLK. Yeah, I know, that's somewhat backwards for a lot of folks, but we were looking for a bit more maneuverability and clearance. Getting ready to take it out on it's shake-down cruise to the coast this weekend. Look forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome from a little city to your east. By the way a have a friend who has gone from TTs to class C than a big class A 2 years ago. I think it is 36 or 38fter it has a diesel pusher. He hates it, it is to big to get through city streets, to technical to him as far as all the systems. He wants to go back to a TT but, at trade in the dealer wants him to pay about 50,000 to take it off his hands before he can get out of it. Sometimes bigger is not always better.

Welcome to the forum from Radium Hot Springs BC.
Also had a class A in 09. As the saying goes "took a bath" on it when I sold it. Amazing how these things depreciate. Enjoy your new rig.

Welcome to the forum from Southern MD. Enjoy your new rig. I think a 5er is the way to go if you want roominess in an RV.

Welcome! We're headed to Joseph Stewart (Lost Creek Lake) in April, Wallowa via John Day and the Blues at the end of May and Bandon in late July. Hopefully they will have the water on at Joseph Stewart in April....

Our trailer (new last year) is 26' bumper-to-hitch, the idea being that it would fit in more of the state parks - although we are still large-ish for some of the smaller parks around here in Southern Oregon.

Shake Down cruise went well, other than some problems with the tow rig brakes. Love the way the new 5er sets up, lives and sleeps. And the weather was great, beautiful blue skys for one of the few recent times here in Oregon. Thanks for the welcoming notes.

Wow! A 26' being to big for some of your state parks? That's scary for us. We've got a new 36' changed from a 34' TT. We live in Michigan and there are a few different parks which have smaller sites, but seeing the state parks realized years back, they needed to make sure that they have plenty of space for all the old retired people who come back home in the spring to camp their big rigs.

Enjoy the new rig! You are not the 1st and will not be the last to leave a Class A for a 5er. There are many more that would like too and even more that will not admit it. I'm not sure if the Super C or Class A was the biggest mistake!

Hey welcome indeed. When we aren't on the road, we call Clackamas, Oregon home! And that is a great looking wagon you have...enjoy!
