Cabinet Doors

Our 3535RE has really substandard cabinet catches. Almost tore off the rear entertainment doors a few times after a rough ride. They can't be seen 'till the rear slides start to deploy, and by then it's too late. Rather than retrofit, or add additional catches, we just "figure eight" cheap ordinary rubber bands over the adjoining cabinet handles. When they snap from old age .... oh well... Staple's sells them real cheap!

Quick, cheap, easy, extremely visible when deployed!!! We haven't had a problem since.

I use 2 of these tarp bungees on my upper and lower pantry doors. I have already ripped 1 of my doors off when moving slide out. Bad thing is I already knew that could happen but didnt think it would pop open just moving the camper out 30' to fill with water on flat land.
Probably last my lifetime.

DW would definitely approve. We could color co-ordinate, to the throw pillows, rather than settle for "boring beige". LOL

Leather tooling is one of my hobbies so this was my method of keeping doors closed.----Lou---

Cabinet Doors

Third time out with our new 310RET found several cabinet doors had opened in the trip from MI to IL this past weekend. I missed the lower door next to the refrigerator and popped the door off the hinges. I heard from friends there is a child proof magnetic lock on the market and it has been the only lock their kids haven't been able to figure out. I purchased one and it seems to hold quite well.
