New 311bhs sprinter

New member
MY family and I will be bring home are new 311bhs sprinter on Monday. Are two boys can't wait. They are 13 and 4. This is an upgrade from are old one that was a mallard 240bhs with no slides. Does anyone have a 2013 311bhs if so is there anything we need to look out for at the PDI? Or down the road. thanks

We bought one at the end of '12. The board in my furnace went out as well as the electric jack crapping out today. I am still very satisfied with the unit!!
Congrats and enjoy!!!!

Congrats on the new camper! Not a 311 but do own the now baby of the sprinter family in a 266. Could not be happier, only issue I has was a black and grey label were reversed which caused a $h!ty situation

Redoct62,

to the Keystone RV Forum and to the Keystone RV family. I'm sure you are as excited about the new RV as your sons are. There is a lot of difference in today's new RV's and the ones that were built even 5 years ago.

There is a pre-delivery inspection checklist (PDI) posted on the forum. Click on this link and it will take you to the location where you can download the checklist. http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5129

It's a very comprehensive guide to follow on that initial inspection and orientation with your dealer. Take some time to look it over, then carry it with you when you go to pick up your new RV. Make sure the dealer goes through your new RV and shows you how to use and operate everything. Make sure all the systems are functional and work properly.

The PDI checklist will help you in remembering to check everything, even some things that you can't see.

Again, welcome and enjoy your time on the forum as well as your time in your new rig.

I have a 2011 311bhs. Not really had any problems yet. I am curious is if you find out how to manually move the slides in, I am assuming you have to drop the underbelly but have not done that to see. Congrats.

U do not have to drop the underbelly on mine. (I have a 2013) If you look at the curb side you will find two 3/4" nuts sticking through the trailer frame making them accessible. Mine are almost hidden behind the trailer skirting so you have to get down to see them.
You will have to us a so socket to get to it as it is too tight to get a drill to. But it beats dropping the coroplast or getting a wide load placard.

Get the 2nd ac unit if you already haven't done so. Get a good wd hitch. Buy spare fuses. get some bal x chocks.

Enjoy your new tt. I know we love ours. And yes the kids will love it and you guys will too. Having the bunk house is really nice as the kids have their only little area to hang out so they aren't allways in your hair.

Congrats! We to came from a little 20sum ft camper with no slides and now we have the sprinter 323bhs! My kids (4/5) love their bedroom. Its a great TT with room to grow! I would take a note pad or a video camera with you to the PDI just incase you forget something. ITs alot of info to remmeber all at once.

lol speaking of vid camera, I went out and bought a hd video camera to record my pdi. It would have helped if I messed with the camera before hand. Every time I hit the record button I was actually stopping the recording and every time I stopped recording I was actually recording. So needless to say I got a bunch of footage looking at the cement. LOL. Yeah my wife doesn't let me live that one down.

Just be sure and have "everything" checked and demonstrated while your doing your walk-thru. I mean everything. If your camper is equipped with it, make sure it works before pulling it off the lot. We have the 2013 Sprinter 331RLS......we love the camper and the layout, but had many initial problems that I wish I had caught during my walk thru. Several things that slipped thru the factory wrong, and things that were overlooked at the dealer. All were repairable, but a pain in the rump when you discover them while camping. Trusting that the dealer has checked everything is something I did, and as an experienced camper, I should have known better.

Good Luck and welcome to the Keystone RV family!

congrats

I just picked up our 320bhs this last week. Me and the wifey and all 3 girls are in it now camping just to check things out. So far no complaints. A small electrical (12v) issue in the master bedroom. A loose fuse basically but I may have it looked at after this trip. Its our first camper and it is fun. Even with the the last 3 days all rain.

I have a 2012 311bhs and we love it!! I replaced the crappy jacks with 4 bal 7500lb jacks to get better leveling, I use 2 bal x-chocks. and im still thinking of getting some bal Lock-Arm Stabilizing Bar just to get the trailer to stop rocking around. but other than that it is great!

We made it home with the new sprinter today. It was a long day but had fun. Thanks to keystone RV wholesale and keystone RV center in PA for all your help and a excellent experience in buying the new camper.
