Raptor 355ts axle change

Hi everyone
I am looking at purchasing a raptor 355 but am concerned about the 2600# net carrying capacity. With full water and fuel and all the usual stuff we all collect it doesn't leave enough capacity to carry the side by side utv.
Question is why do they limit the load by using 7000# axles and will the frame support the weight if I change to 8000# and will that recertify the capacity if the change is done by dexter?
Also has anyone changed to disc brakes which could be done at the same time as the axle upgrade

As added info, most if not all of our garages have a maximum capacity of 2500 lbs. Not sure who would/could recertifly the overall Raptor, ie Keystone or Dexter. May be cheaper to choice a larger Raptor probably tri axle. Others with experience in this area hopefully will chime in

Good Luck on your selection, your getting into some big rigs so I recommend equal time in the selection of a TV

First question is do you need the water? If not take it out or fill up when you arrive. Second is the carrying capacity 2600# or the garage capacity#.

I notice on Keystone website Carrying Capacity is not defined what it includes.

Only the trailer manufacturer or a certified vehicle modifier have the authority to increase or change, in any way, a trailer's certified GAWRs and GVWR.

So, adding 8000# axles will not increase cargo capacity. The 8000# axles will have the same GAWR certified load capacity as the 7000# axles.

8k axles will have 8k capacity. They won't affect your vehicle's GAWR.
I like this upgrade though - it may be bigger bearings and if your axles are creeping up on their capacity, I'd rather push the "weak link" somewhere else. Unfortunately, it may be springs or trailer frame (potentially). I've read enough of about Keystone-installed axles bending, etc to want the biggest and best axles that I can get on there also.

I've got a dual jetski trailer. I added a 3k axle to it when I replaced the axle. It's still setup with 700 lb springs on each side. Overall carrying capacity hasn't really been improved. Springs are still setup for the proper weight, but I don't worry about bearing wear quite as much...
