I've always known the numbers to mean the rough box size.

My 245RL (rear living room) is 26'11" long, according to the sales literature. Doesn't make sense to me.

As a rule the numbers are the length of the living space (or box as mentioned) and does not include TT tongue, 5er pin box or rear bumpers. ... Thus my 290RKS is 31'+ and is a Rear Kitchen + Slide. So if you add pin bx length and bumper over-hang (many now come with extended pinbox for shortbed towing) to your 35'6" (356) you will be very close to 40'. The aerodynamic front ends have also added to the length but not the living space. JM2˘, Hank

Nope, we just went out and measured it, actual length rear to front of cap, 41 feet, ladder, 41'10", the forward end of the pin box is actually a foot behind the front of cap. I am wondering if back wall to front closet doors would be about 35'6". Figure 41-a 4'deep closet-wall thickness, should be leave about 36 feet. Have to check that.

what the numbers mean.

I read somewhere the numbers meant the square foot of space?
