Dometic A/C units have what is called a QUICK COOL feature in that if you open the cold air on the bottom unit, cold air willl come out the bottom unit and not so much get into the air ducts. The purpose is to quickly cool the cabin when you first start the A/C. If the output vent is open on the A/C lower part, shut it.

Sounds like they reinstalled the ac without cutting the roof material out of the opening, what a surprise. Call whoever did the roof & have them fix it.

Help me out. A/C was installed and working. Four long bolts pulled out. A/C moved. What material are you referring to that needs cutting?

I believe the OP had the roof material replaced.

Maybe they brought the new roof material down far enough to cover the entrance to the duct?

On my second air, it looks to me like a x was cut in the roof at the vent hole and the sides stapled to the joists/supports.

Chip, mine was the same way when I removed the existing vent and installed my new A/C unit. Of course, we were not worried about hooking anything into the existing ductwork, so it really wasn't an issue.
