Help!! Back half of trailer has no power

I am very new to this world of RVs and am learning more and more as time goes on. We are currently living in our 2012 Keystone Springdale in a RV Park. We have no power to the back half of our trailer and have no idea what is wrong or what to do to fix it. From what I learned, we have checked fuses inside trailer and they were fine. We also flipped the breakers inside and nothing happened. Please any ideas or info anyone can give would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

There are 2 separate power systems in your RV. 12VDC and 120VAC, which power have you lost?

I think its the 120 because the lights are still working and from what I understand those are the 12?

Yes lighting is 12VDC. Have you looked for a tripped GFCI outlet? usually in the bathroom. Did you flip all the 120V breakers all the way off and then back on to reset them?

What is in the back 1/2 of the trailer that works on 120vac? Just the outlets, outlets and TV or ?? Is the problem associated with a slide - what is the model number of your Springdale?

So I checked my GFCI outlet and pushed reset then test and everything is working fine when it's testing. But I have a circuit protector plugged in which comes on but only the " protected" light is on not the "grounded" light. Is this normal or is it a indicator of something wrong?

Questions are no problem and everyone will do their best to help. What kind of circuit protector are you referencing? Brand/model? Different kinds do different things and the lights/LEDs mean different things as well.

One of our surge protectors is " Commercial Electric" and it is a 6 outlet with 2 USB outlets. Not sure if this helps. The " protected" light is the only.light on.

I am assuming it's something like this link;

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commerci...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

I don't know for sure because I found no documentation but I think the grounded led is telling you that the ground is missing coming into the protector. That could be the ground prongs on the back of the protector are missing or the ground to that outlet is missing. You would still have 120vac but no ground. You can use an outlet tester to verify.

Those types of protectors don't do you much good. They only protect against a high voltage surge which is usually not what happens in an RV in my experience. The EMS (electrical management system) that you plug into the RV power pole (or mount inside the RV) protects the RV against many more conditions that could harm you or the trailer and are very highly recommended as a "must have". Here is a link to one - there are several different manufacturers;

Just wanted to thank you so very much! We once again have power to the whole RV!! It ended up being the GFCI outlet. I would NEVER have figured that out on my own so I want to thank you again! There is another problem we are having which I will create a new post to address it. Has to do with the AC. Thank you all!

I am glad you got it figured out with Danny's help. I was busy working on a 1985 chevy truck and installing a new dishwasher in the house.
