HVAC acting weird

We have a Premier 19FBPR. Plugged into shore power. When temperatures drop to below the setting on the thermostat, I hear some clicking from the AC unit in the ceiling, like a switch clicking on off. Not a typo - the clicking is coming from the AC. Then the furnace fan comes on for a second without igniting. This keeps on going until I turn the thermostat off, then back on to "furnace", after which the furnace performs as it is supposed to.

The weirdest thing to me is that the AC is clicking but the thermostat is not on the AC setting. And the clicking AC is tied to the furnace trying to cycle on.

Thanks in advance for any insight on this problem.

The control box for the furnace operation is in the A/C. If you remove the ceiling assembly you can access it. Make sure all wires are firmly connected and if they are the relay inside the box may have issues.

Here is a pic of the AC control board for your 2013 Bullet..

I’ve marked where the furnace signal wires connect to this board to provide some insight

The blue arrows indicate relays energize or de energize depending on mode selected..

If these relays are rapidly clicking / chattering then it’s a good indication the board is failing and you need to replace it

Thanks for the detailed pic. Everything looks to be connected securely. I'll look into replacing the control board.

Before replacing I would (With shore power And Battery powered removed) simply remove and reinstall each connection/plug to reseat and also thus wipes the connection contact areas a bit and then further evaluate ..

What thermostat do you have, and is it set on Heat, Cool or Auto?

It's a Dometic three position thermostat. AC, Furnace and Fan. Fan can be set to Hi, Lo and Auto
