Passport Slider and Winegard Gateway

My 2022 Passport came with Winegard Air 360+ and prewired for a router. The interesting thing is that there doesn't seem to be sufficient clearance for the slider to pass under the Winegard 1000 router. Anyone else experience this and, if so, any suggestions on how to deal with it?

Have you measured the distance from the slide facia to the ceiling? If memory serves me correct, the router isn’t very “tall”

We have the winegard gateway on our ceiling (which curves upward) and the slide clears it fine. When out it doesn’t look like it will but because of the arc of the ceiling it’s fine.

Thanks Chuckster57. The gateway measured about 3/4 - 1 inch too tall for clearance.

Thanks Jonahex2099. I didn't think of that. After reading your post, I noticed that there does seem to be a little curve to the ceiling I hadn't noticed before. I'll check it that way.

Well Jonahex2099, I held the Winegard gateway next the the "bubble" on the ceiling as the slider came in and it didn't clear the slider. Thanks for the idea tho.

I have heard of folks pulling the fascia board off the slide out and moving it up or down to hide the motors behind it when closed. Maybe you can move it a little down to clear that. I am thinking it is held on with just brad nails.

Just a thought.

None of those suggestions worked. Winegard says Keystone didn't install the Air360+ in the correct place. Does anyone know if I can get extensions for the three Winegard gateway leads to move the intallation a couple feet?

that sucks bad. I need to search my Amazon list, b/c I order connectors to fit them ends to convert it to something else, once I find out again what the connector name is I can give you something.

From what I can find the connectors are "MCX". You should be able to find what you need from that. It comes down to female or male and how long the cable its, etc. Good luck.
