Automatic start switch for generator

I was reading about an automatic start switch that will kick the generator on if the battery gets to low or if the RV gets too hot. I called the dealer today and asked about it and they quoted me over 1000.00 for just the parts.

Anyone using one of these? What did it cost you, would you recommend it? I have an Onan 5500 generator. Thanks
