first time c o e camping

Bandits Roost North Carolina. This Campground exceeded any national park I have stayed in excellent pave roads big sites there are no trees or huge rocks that I needed to dodge. I checked in received my pass with a 4 number code to enter the park. I have two more parks reserved Kentucky and Missouri I hope they are RV friendly as this COE camp ground.

For those who may not be aware, COE campgrounds are total gun-free zones. That applies even to possession of ammunition. Just a word to the wise, since the RVing community has a larger than average participation in that demographic.

That is interesting. Do you know why that is? I’m guessing because it is Federal land?

Thank Tricky Dick.

The practice was found unconstitutional in 2014 and appealed; COE promised to "revise" their restrictions two years ago in order to get the appeal dropped, but there has been zero actual progress.

We had reservations for there this thurs through sunday but they were canceled because the lake flooded some of the lower sites and the electric hookups were underwater. We really like the campground there, we are going to Jordan Lake instead.

Well I broke that law a lot, and probably will some more.
Good to know about the park being there. We are in that area occasionally doing genealogy.
Tricky Dick indeed.
