What the heck is this ? 2007 Keystone Springdale
If you haven't seen any of my past questions... I'm a complete newbie to the trailer/RV world.
I have bought a month ago a 2007 Keystone Springdale. Lots of surprises I wasn't expecting (leaks, broken toilet etc...).
What is this ? the one on the bottom (I use the top switch to turn my propane water heater on)... but I have no clue what the bottom is for ?
Thanks for your help !

If it is the one labeled pump then it is the water pump for dry camping.

You should have a fresh water holding tank and a fitting to fill that tank. When there is no city water to connect to if you have water in your holding tank the pump will pressure your lines so you still have water to the fixtures.

Dry Camping is when there is no hookup with the white hose to the inlet to the camper. If you have a fresh water tank you can fill it and run the water pump.

Consider keeping a little fresh in the tank for when it's 40 miles to the next rest stop and you can't uncross your legs. Nothing like having your own port-a-potty on wheels, but it do need flushing.
If you haven't figured out the function of the rest of the gadgets on that white block, the LED column will tell you the state of your battery charge, or the levels in your fresh, gray (sink & shower), and black (toilet) holding tanks when you push the related button.

Just a by the way - in case you didn't know it you have another water heater switch in the water heater compartment that is for using the heater on electric instead of propane.

Actually, that one is more of an electric disconnect. I ran my WH on gas for a month before I discovered it, turned off, and cleverly obscured for some incomprehensible reason by metallic white tape which was an exact color and sheen match for the inside of the WH cabinet.

I've always considered this a "safety" cut-off switch. So you don't accidentally turn on the electric heating element (using the inside controls) when there is no water in the water heater tank.

On many (maybe even most) "pre 2015 Keystone RV's" the ONLY switch to operate the electric side of the Suburban water heaters was the outside switch (located in the lower left hand corner). Granted there was/is a circuit breaker in the power distribution panel, but it's not generally considered a "switch" in the "normal sense of the word"....
Our Cougar doesn't have an "inside electric switch". The only "water heater switch is the "gas switch" that's located beside the "pump switch". Both are located on the lower part of the tank status indicator panel.
If I remember correctly, Atwood water heaters were the first to include electric and gas switches inside the RV. It wasn't until Suburban bought Atwood that they transitioned most of their Suburban water heaters to the "dual control" switch located inside the RV.

If you do not have an owners manual, you should try googling for one. They are a great help.

I extended the switch into the interior for convenience, but bought a switch that had a red light when it's energized so that I don't leave it on when parking my trailer at my sons home. I have a plug-in there to keep the batteries charged and have A/C when working on the interior.

The bottom box shows the levels of your fresh, gray, and black water tanks. The red toggle is for the onboard fresh water pump.
