Your assessment of a diesel pusher is the same as mine came out. I fully intended to get one when we retired but I felt the same as you. With our lifestyle we go all the time, but it wouldn't be in the Class A but about 3-4 months of the year; and most of that would be sitting in one place. The other 8-9 months it just sits and degrades in storage; plus I would be paying for the drivetrain and all the other "stuff" to just sit - a big stranded investment - if you could call it that. In addition I would have had to buy some kind of 4x4 to pull behind it. My SUV and truck are too big and my old CJ7 is too fragile and.....well, old. I have to have a truck because I use it all time so I may as well have a trailer - with today's choices in RVs you don't lose anything by giving up going with a Class A IMO - and you already have the truck to pull it
