I've had my Cougar since March of 2012 and have lubed all the moving joints with Silicone spray and have had no problems. Also keeping the batteries fully charged helps DC motors run for both the slide as well as the awning. Also check the screws that hold the awning assembly to the trailer, they can loosen up and start to wiggle free. Awnings sitting out in the rain during winter created black marks on the underside of the awning, I have found that the Swiffer mop, with its long broom handle makes an ideal way to clean and stop mold build up.
