Maybe your Raptor was attacked by a "hive of angry hornets" ?????

That does look like something under the plastic has "risen from the luan" and is pushing the vinyl covering to "tent the surface". I'd guess that sheet of luan (problem limited to that area only) has some type of "glue disorder" or was exposed to water that caused the luan fibers to swell.

Since your Raptor is a 2015 model, chances are slim that Keystone would address any repair. If you have an extended warranty, maybe that would cover repairs ??? Remember, the sidewalls are bonded Styrofoam, so removing the old and replacing that sheet of luan will not be easy.

I'd consider a "owner repair" by using a rolling pin to push the tenting back down to an even surface. Possibly use a LOW temperature (don't melt the vinyl covering) iron on the area to soften the tenting before the rolling pin ????

Otherwise, maybe a photo or wall hanging in the area to cover the defect ???

I would have to cut one of those open to see what is growing??? If it is a water issue it needs to be fixed.

All good, helpful responses! Thanks! I do have an extended warranty so we’ll see! RV REPAIR guy coming to check it out for me, as Frank said, I need to be sure it’s not a water issue! If not, it’s an excellent place for some sort of picture/artsy fartsy thing DW can take charge with all that!

Finding the root cause is the most important thing to do. Then you can determine if you need the extended warranty or hang a picture. Extended warranty will take care of a defective/failed component. I'm afraid a water leak will be deemed "required maintenance". Let's hope it's something simple and not more damaging.
