Electric fireplace - trouble shooting

I have a 2013 Fuzion 395 that has a Greystone F2601E fireplace. The bulb or bulbs have blown and I'm trying to change them but it appears that the faux stone was installed over the mounting screws therefore I can't remove the fireplace to replace the bulbs. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fireplace

Hello, I'm not familiar with that particular one, but there should just be a bulb box you open to get to the bulbs. Do you have the original paperwork. You can find it on the internet too. Remember to wear latex gloves when handling your new bulbs. The oil from your hands will make them not last as long.

Welcome to the forum

If you lift up the "surround" you will see square head screws holding the fireplace in. The screws are Roberts head #2, and once they are removed you should be able to remove the entire unit for service.

They put the fake stone over the mounting screws you speak of.

I wonder if the fake stone is nailed to the wall with long brads.

The fake stone is held on with velcro. It just pulls off. At least on mine that is the case.

Mine is nailed!! Pretty dumb to install something that you know will need continuous maintenance in way that needs demo to remove. But thanks for your input. Merry Xmas to you and yours.

You might want to do like canesfan and when you put it back, buy some industrial strength Velcro to put it back in place for the next time you need access. If you find that the Velcro glue doesn't hold up to the travels/bumps/etc, a small bottle of contact cement on the back side of the Velcro instead of the glue that came on it....that will hold it very well.

When the factory assembles these things, it's all about speed, nail gun is much faster than peel and stick. And Keystone doesn't have the corner on odd practices.

We also have a 2013 Fuzion 395. Our fireplace will not turn on at all. Can't seem to find the problem. Several outlets do not work on the same side of camper also. Have checked fuses, etc. that is located in box below fireplace. Can't seem to figure out what's going on. Puzzling!

GFCI near a sink is tripped or the junction box underneath is full of water.

Fuses are for 12v. Breakers are for 110AC.

As stated, check your GFCI outlet to make sure it's not tripped. If that doesn't help, turn off the electric and pull out the outlets. They are daisy chained together and almost always the wires pushed in, not screwed in. They do lose contact and deaden everything downstream. Check the ground contacts while you're at it.

Thank you!

We were able to get the electric fireplace heater going which felt really good in the North GA mountains this past weekend. The GFCI had tripped. Still have no LED lights on one of our canopies and also a light at our rear door isn't working. We are going to try pulling out the outlets and checking the ground contacts as was suggested. Again, thank you. We greatly appreciate the help!

I blamed it on the rough railroad track my husband crossed over! Jarred our teeth so I figured it had jarred something loose in the camper!

How did you pull it off, was damaged? Can it be reused? Mine has to come out, I think the fan motor is pooped, the unit only runs while it's warm in the RV, if it gets to freezing temps the heater will only run for a bit.

If you are planning on pulling 110 VAC outlets you may want to record which ones are attached to each 110 VAC breaker and may also want to note which outlets are protected by a GFI, ie daisy chained off the GFI. These listings will assist you in the future, to bad the factory does not supply them.

I am sure you are aware when tracking issues with lighting that they are 12V DC devices
