Traded Up Today

We pulled the trigger today on a 15 333MKS. Been lurking in this forum for some time learning from issues etc... researching online for the last year and a half. Now the wait until PDI. Will be bringing the PDI checklist on this forum for sure. Need to bag the truck between now and the PDI, should be fairly simple. Oh the waiting.

Congrats on the new purchase

Airbags for level ride right? Which ones are you going to install? I have the Airlift 5000 and the onboard air. Whatever brand you end up choosing, it's worth the money for the onboard air.

I ordered the firestone ones at autoanything.com today, they were 20% off. I'm not sure I'll need but I figured it would be a good thing. I'm quite sure I'll get some squatting but these should help with it.

Thank you, its been a long time coming. Fortunetly we can camp just about year round in central Virginia. We'll do our shake down cruise in the near future.

Thanks. Were in central Va. After years of hearing negative reviews about the Ashland, Va dealership (won't name names)we went against our word that we would never buy from them. Well we decided to purchase from them. I hope we made the correct decision. If we need to we'll use them until the warranty has expired. I realize this thing is man made and things will happen. Just hope they will be the run of the mill things that maybe I can fix or adjust.

No onboard air. I'll plumb the air lines to the license plate area for the shrader valves. We'll add that later.

That's what I did on mine as well, I would not advise tying the lines together for a single Schrader valve. The folks I know who tried that ended up installing the second one and removing the tee...

The Firestone bags are great and you'll find that you'll only need about 20-25 pounds of air with the 333 MKS..

We've only had one problem with ours and that was a bent register in the floor that caught on the kitchen slide and took a chunk of the slide trim with it.. A little super glue and a new slide cover from Trekwood and we're good to go.

The only mod so far was to block the washer lines so I don't have to fool with them when blowing the lines out between winter time camping trips. Taking stuff out of the closet every time is a pain. And we will never add a washer in the camper.

Once we get it I'll need to look at the lines upfront to do that mod. I don't see us ever using that W/D prep. Sounds like you probably just added cut off valves? I'll need to look into that.

I was going to add cutoff valves but after I got in behind the bulkhead I decided to just cut the tee out of both lines and hard splice the lines back together using sharkbite coupling and clamps.. If anyone ever wants the washer connections it will be a simple matter to reconnect the lines with a tee.

Most difficult part was getting the bulkhead down and out of the way, well that and spending a 1/2 hour with a shop-vac getting all the sawdust out from behind the bulkhead.. I then removed all the floor registers and cleaned all the sawdust and insulation from the vents while I had the shop-vac there.

Next thing will be changing out the one-way valve on the water heater and installing a 3 valve bypass so the cold water don't backup to the showerhead every time you pause the water.

Only other thing that comes to mind is a water hammer for the toilet, it do thump a bit.

We love the 333MKS and I'm sure you will too..

Installed the Firestone bags Sunday in the 28 degree weather. It wasn't that hard. What hampered the operation was the wind & cold. Just glad that's done. PDI may be put off by 1 week due to more snow coming our way. We just had 6 inches of snow fall last night and their (weather guessers) talking about 2 more storms this week. One being on Saturday. All winter, these storms have missed us and now when we want to pick up our new 5th wheel we get winter Come on spring.
