Back from Myrtle Beach

Well we just got back from Myrtle Beach,
We pulled our new 381 Fuzion down from Romney Wv (12 HRS) and 8-9.5 MPG in my 2011 3500 dodge dully. This was my first beach trip in a camper and I must say we had a blast with only one minor problem. When Tropical Storm Andrea came knocking on our door, it blew water under my bedroom tip-out seal and my carpet got wet on one side of the bed. We toweled it up and dried it out with a fan in one day. I also adjusted my B&W hitch closer to the cab of my truck (2") to get rid of some trailer chucking. We stayed at Pirateland two lots back from the dune-line. Loved it and will go back next year

The leak from horizontal rain was probably hard to avoid given the height and vulnerability of the very underside of the bed slide. At least you were able to remedy it quickly.

We've stayed at Lakewood and Ocean Lakes. Thus far Ocean Lakes is our favorite for MB. We skipped 2013 but will be going back in 2014.

Beautiful area you live in. Bought a motorcycle at Romney Cycle a few years back.

We check in to Ocean Lakes on July 7th, that place has a spell on me, look forward to that trip every year. We have same spot as last year, only 7 spots from the beach!

How do you ride your golf cart from KOA to the beach? Crossing the highway is what I'm really thinking about.

You can drive on the streets down there as long as the speed limit is 35 or less with out tags on the golf cart.Just follow all the same rules like stop signs and traffic lights.

We just got back late Friday from Pirateland. Camped there all last week - our first time. Its a really nice place with a great uncrowded beach.

We also were two spots back at #823.

We did not have any problems from the storm.
