Shoe storage ideas?

Looking for some ideas about shoe storage when you enter the rv. We usually don't like leave our shoes outside. Ideas?

I’m lazy, so I use a shallow rubbermaid roughneck tub. 10 gallon. I keep it just inside the door. Drop the shoes in, and pick through them when you go out. Quick and easy.

Built this from pine, stain and a lot of polyethane varnish. It only covers the door where the fuze panel is located which we rarely go into.

I removed a bottom drawer (and trim/support) in the kitchen next to the entrance door.
I can put 4 to 6 pair of shoes in the new cubby hole.

We added a hanging shoe pocket inside the coat closet.

Old post, but I want to add to these great ideas:

Our 2014 279RKS has the swivel rocker just to the left of the door and the steps to the bedroom to the right. It is perfect for sitting on the steps to take off shoes. We keep a tote/basket behind the swivel rocker and throw our shoes in it so they are right there at the door when we go out. Works great for just the two of us. Also worked this past week with 4 adults and three kids (one pair of shoes each)

There is also about a 1 1/2" gap between the steps to the bedroom and the entertainment center cabinet. I stash my flip-flops there with the heel end down in the gap and toes pointing up. The shoes are brown, so they blend in with the décor. This way, I always know where they are!

I'm an organization freak, so I enjoy reading about and seeing all of the innovative ideas for improving the convenience and efficiency of our "Little Homes on Wheels"

For our shoe storage we went to a Target store and bought an ottoman/foot stool. The top comes off and we store our shoes inside. We will use the ottoman as an extra seat when necessary.

We have an ottoman footstool too. Perfect for an RV. Ours has a smaller ottoman that stores inside when not in use. DH uses the smaller one with the swivel rocker to prop up his feet after a hard day of camping I use the larger one by the sofa as a coffee table (I have a nice tray that sits on top) and to store magazines, my computer, etc. I sometimes even use it as a footstool On your suggestion, we may use it, now, for storing shoes

When we load up, the little ottoman goes back in the big one and they fit nicely in the bedroom slide out wardrobe.

I used the cubbie idea that Ray (LoveYourRV blog and member here) first thought up. We both have rear door 5ers with some dead space right inside the door on the right. Here is mine that I just finished this weekend. The DW likes it as she does have to trip over my boats anymore.

We bought a two level metal shoe rack from Costco which holds about 8 pairs of shoes and slipper underneath. We have a 5th wheel and put the rack at the top of the interior stairs in the hallway leading to the bedroom and infront of the washroom. Still lots of room to get by. Although as my DW is looking at me telling me she needs more shoeroom

From one DW to another: You can never have too many shoes

I cut a piece of plywood that fits under the top outside step. Painted it black.
Two pairs of shoes fit on it. It is mostly under the trailer and awning so is dry.
