That's a concern JR and I was hoping to have a little spread between what the truck can reasonable handle and the current pin weight. I could trade my 2500 for a 3500 without too much, if any, damage to my wallet but I like my truck and it has the same bearings and rear-end, engine and transmission (allison) as a 1 ton anyway. So unless I go to a "dooly" I ain't gaining a hell of a lot. My 07 Duramax has a 4 inch exhaust, Banks ram air and dyno's at over 340 hp and close to 700ft lbs of torque at the rear wheels. so I know I can handle the trailer weight. I see a number of 2500's from the big three hauling the 37ft Montanas which is heavier king pin weights than what I'm considering so I may be caught up in a little "analysis paralysis" and the so called "weight police" commenting about being over the truck specs. But, like you say, better safe than sorry and becoming the focus of a recovery operation.

There was one person on here who weighed their 2014 333 MKS. Pin weight was 2153 with full water, propane and gear.

New 333MKS

My wife and I just picked up our 2015 333 trading in a Cardinal 29TS. We have not pulled it with everything packed yet, but the trip home from the dealer went well. Pulls better than the Cardinal and is a bit lighter. No complaints so far after living in her a week. Leaving FL tomorrow with the next stop TX. I'll post more after we get a few miles on it.
