Alpine 3450 Keyless entry question
Can anyone please explain the keyless entry to me. I have no manuel for the darn thing and have no idea where to start with the programing or the entry code.
Also how does the night lite (above entry door) work. I can get it to come on but not sure how the motion sensor works.

Keyless entry and motion light
Toneman56 -
You have a keychain fob that is the keyless entry. There's no programing or setup required. The keyless entry basically sets the "deadbolt" on the door but does not lock the door handle. I find this to be acceptable if I'm out walking our pack of ferocious Chihuahuas - as they accelerate me away from the Alpine I'm able to point the fob back and deadbolt lock the door before we get out of range. You might need to check the fuse to see if it is blown. Mine was when we got the fiver, so I couldn't figure out how to use it either until I realized the fuse was blown. Is there a red LED glowing in your Power Panel box?
There has been a lot of postings this past week on "A Blinking Blue Light". Well, I learned quite a bit from those postings, even after I stuck my big foot in my mouth and commented that I didn't have a blinking blue light. Well, I do. If you turn the outside door light on in this manner, it will set the motion detector on the light to come on when someone approaches the door - fairly rapid sequence: on, off, on. The second time it goes on, the light will not be on but the small blue light in the lower right (facing it) will occasionally blink. So, how am I going to break this to the others that I have a blinking blue light . . .

And remember to use your keys every now and then and to keep the key lock lubricated so it's ready if needed. I found mine was REAL tight. I ended up getting an LED for the yardlight because the regular bulbs kept burning out for whatever reason

On my 3500RE, they "keyless entry" is not a key fob. It is a keypad to the left of the door. Maybe this is what the OP is talking about...

X-Treme might be right
X-Treme -
You might very well be correct. As a friend of mine says, "Stick around long enough and things change!" My old technology Alpine 3640RL, manufactured in the Dark Ages of May-June 2010 might very well represent the past technology of keyless entry at Keystone.
So, I guess we do need to ask if Toneman56 has an Alpine keypad or an old fashioned fob???? I would still recommend checking the 12V fuse or breakers, and then as Dave said, "Tried calling Keystone?"

Sorry for the delay in replying to topic, but we have been out on our first outing with the unit. I do not have a fob, or at least did not recieve it at PDI. I do have the keypad, and I have not called Keystone yet.
One minor issue that I discovered was the shower door when opened after a shower drained a fair amount of water onto the floor between the vanity and shower. Not a major problem but kept wiping it up after shower to keep water from under the shower tray.

Have you tried the default factory setting for the keyless entry pad? it's 12341 to open and 12344 to lock, at least it is on mine.

I talked with a service rep at La Mesa RV in Davis, CA about my non-working keyless entry on my 3450 Alpine today. He said "does the keypad light up"? I said "no"! He said "pull the whole keypad straight out of the wall of the RV and replace the 2032 battery on the unit"!
I haven't tried it yet but I will soon.

Both of you should try at night if you haven't already. I tried just holding both hands over mine in the daytime, and couldn't see any lights. Went back that night and sure enough, it DOES light up, but not very bright.

interesting, so it's really just another transmitter, and not hard wired to the battery. that means it could be an easy retrofit to those of us with FOBS.
I will have to check that out.

Alpine 3450 Keyless entry
FYI. I just dropped our brand new Alpine 3450 off at the dealer to have the keypad in the keyless entry replaced. The service manager said that they have had at least 50% of these keyless entrys DOA. They are replacing ours under warranty.
