Roof Vent Cap Missing
Yesterday I discovered that the vent cap on the refrigerator/furnace side of the coach is missing. It must have blown off while on the trip because it was there just prior to leaving. I don't know what it vents.
It is a 2" white pvc vent. I wasn't sure I wanted to baggie is if it was a vent for an appliance but I don't want water getting into the appliance either.
There is another one on the other side of the coach that I'm sure vents the tanks but just now sure about this one.
My question is this. It's raining and what will it damage from not being covered and should I put a baggie on it until I can get one. I'm not running the furnace but am using the fridge.
Do they sell just the cap or do I need to replace the whole assembly that I have to reseal?

Its another tank vent, fridge vent is way bigger, and directly over the fridge.
They are typically held in place by one or two screws, while replacing it check all the caulking around it.
Not much danger in waiting to fix it.

Unless it's raining. Since tank vents are above the roof line, the roof membrane is cut and the wood substrate is exposed. Rain can cause damage to it.
I wouldn't use a Bag, but I would get it fixed ASAP. You can get just a cap, or the whole assembly.

Thanks for the input. I'll try and find a Home Depot and see if I can get a cap.
The seal around the pipe is good.

Roof vent caps sold at CampingWorld
One of mine came off after scraping a low branch. These just push on, don't come off. Do not press in all the way down or will not vent. They have worked for over 5 years. Stay in place, no screws, takes 2 seconds to install.

Missing roof vent
I just bought a 2011 Cougar. The bathroom sink would not drain. After checking the P trap we looked into the drain and found acorns. They had started to sprout and had swollen up and we could not get them out. Finally we cut out 2 1/2 ft of the drain pipe and it was packed with acorns. There was also 16" of acorns up the vent pipe. We had a hell of a time getting them out. Don't leave your vent off too long.

Thanks, I already put a baggie on it. I went to Lowes today and they did not have any caps so I'll just wait until I can get to a CW. There is no Home Depot in the area.
