Red face Hot water bathroom tap squeaks

Help. Looking for recommendations. I have removed the cylinder and coated the o ring with petroleum jelly but it only works for a couple of days. I would like to use a product thats safe??? Any suggestions?

That is problem for some faucets. They are very "inexpensive" (as in the cheapest available) and in a few, there is a squeak. At least they aren't leaking, so they are functional, just not quiet.

Lubricating the O-rings won't help, especially on the hot water side as the hot water will remove the silicone/petroleum jelly in a very short time.

You may consider buying a better quality faucet at Lowe's or HD. They are, for the most part, interchangeable and certainly much better quality. If you're still in warranty, possibly your dealer would order a replacement for you or schedule an appointment to replace the "noisy faucet", but it may not be any better than what you have.

Good Luck

We had a squeaky faucet on our Rpod. Drove us crazy. When we purchased our Premier it was so quiet AT FIRST!
