Outback moulding strips

We are looking at purchasing a 2012 sydney outback. I have read on this forum that the moulding around the slides tends to come lose, which it had, but I noticed that the tacks have poked holes in the wallpaper covering the strips leaving tiny ragged tears. I am concerned that these may become worse and I can't think of a fix other than replacing or recovering all if those strips. Anyone else experience this? The plastic door jamb into the bedroom is also warped. I assume you can purchase new door jambs. We expect imperfections in a used trailer but I can't see a reasonable fix to the moulding.

to the forum Teller.

Trekwood carries replacement parts for many of the Keystone lines http://www.trekwood.com
You might also try seaching for an RV Salvage.

The checklist that you mentioned (in your other post) can be found here:

I'd also suggest that you check for any recalls:

Hope this helps & good luck with your decision.

I have owned a 2010 Sydney and now my current 2013 Sydney. I have been pleased with both units, but like any RV, the condition of the unit is only as good as it was cared for.
I hhave had to tighten hardware, drawers, moldings, etc. It is the nature of the beast. If it has been well taken care of, the suspension/tires are in good condition and verified no leaks or water damage you should be good. Do not sign the dotted line until you have gone through the PDI checklist your self (every item). This process if done right will take a few hours. You will be buying the unit as is, so be thorough.
Good luck.
