Awning question for model 3620fl

We purchased an Alpine 3620fl not long ago but I have a question that I can't figure out. When the awning is out it hits on the top edge of the kitchen slideout and it won't take long to rip a hole in the awning material. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.

Not familiar with your rig but most awning have an aluminum support bar which comes from the rig up to your awning. By extending those support bars completely out and up, then using the screw to hold them in place, you should clear the kitchen slide out. If this doesn't work please explain/or show picture of what your looking at. Hope this helps, Good Luck.
