Toilet paper?

VERY important issues here kids. LOL. 2013 Cougar Xlite 28SGS. I found the toilet paper holder in the bathroom mirror/vanity cabinet after delivery. I knocked on the bathroom walls and none of them felt substantial enough to mount the holder to. The darling bride bought a cute little wire basket "thing" to set on the floor and keep the paper in. Works fine with me. But.....where is y'alls paper holder mounted? I might want to install mine someday.

I mounted mine where it is conveniently located in relation to the stool, thin wall or not. I have never had a problem with the tp holder pulling from wall and mine is mounted on a thin section of the wall.

Where to mount the most important papers

Good point. We too went the wire basket thingy on the floor route, but it drove me nuts finally. We have the 291RLS, with a small toilet room, and I was concerned about hitting wires, plumbing, etc, so I ended up mounting fairly high on the wall, which backs up to the sink - figured plumbing would be up above the sink, and its away from the switch on the back of the wall.
So, so far no leaks from that or shorts in the wiring.

One of the problems with the wire basket, is you had to store it to tow the RV, or it just rolled around, and with TP all over. I am considering using some of the self-adhesive wiring hooks, to stick on the wall, and then part of the wire basket in the wire loop part, to eliminate the moving.
Never know when you'll have a blow out and need that extra roll of TP.

Mount on the wall with pop rivets. It will be there for a while. They expand behind the wall a hold hard!

We mounted ours to the right of the stool but used small toggle bolts to hold it securely to the thin wall.

We went with a free standing option, with vertical post to store extras. Weighted base. Might ride okay standing upright, we simply lay it on its side as we prep the trailer to be pulled. Example

Had the same thing when we picked up our previous new TT. There simply wasn't anywhere convenient to mount the holder though, and the bathroom was so small a basked wouldn't work either. There was a narrow shelf behind the toilet that we ended up just sitting it on. This was also a Keystone product.

As long as I can reach the paper without getting up... I've never put a lot of thought into it other than that...

Glued a 3/4" X 3" strip of oak to back of vanity door - mounted tp holder to the strip with screws - easily accessed while seated - works for us and is out of sight when not needed.

Howdy All;

Being a bachelor, and having a split bathroom I have a tiny room
and not much room for anything else but me in there. So, when I'd
emptied a coffee container I noticed the size was "just right" ..... so,
one live inside while the working roll sits atop. Just keepin' it simple.

we went with the free standing with weighted base and we just put it behind the toilet when traveling, works great and each person can move it to where it works best for them.

I think the bride wanted one of the weighted things but couldn't find it. We have pocket doors that slide into the wall behind the toilet. I'm concerned about hitting them with the mounting screws.
Thanks for the ideas.

GearHead,
I got one of the hook type paper holders (no spring loaded roller) from Lowe's.

Mounted it on the side of the vanity between vanity and shower.

Just slide the TP roll on and off.

Don't know how to post pic's but can eMail them.

I like on the back of the door since it is open when I use it, but she seems to think we'll actually close the door one day and hence that option would not work. I told her I'd put one on both sides of the door so it worked open or closed, and that didn't fly either!!!

Since we could not come to an agreement as to where to put it, the problem was resolved by getting one that stands on the floor so we can move it wherever we choose! LOL

Good to hear from you Allan. That's a good idea for the holder.
FYI...just back from the "big trip".....Houston to Eldora Speedway, to Indy 500 Museum, to Bardstown KY touring distilleries. No runs, no drips, no errors. Well...except for the Champion generator. Luckily a cool front blew through and it wasn't needed beyond the 3 hours it ran.
The GMC 6.0 pulled it better than I thought it would. 8.5 mpg.

We mounted ours to the thin walls with screws provided and it has held just fine. Figured I'd use some of those plastic type mollies if needed but it has held just fine. There really isn't any pressure on the screws so they shouldn't pull loose.

We mounted ours on the back of the door, high enough not to get sprayed by you know what, and it is within reach and out of the way.

We just keep our rolls inside the cabinet, like we did in our old TT. Was going to try to mount the holder inside the cabinet door, but didn't want a screw coming through, and thought that if we didn't need a holder in the TT for 10 years before this fifth wheel, we don't need one in here!

It is, after all, camping, and I guess TP not being on a holder could be "roughing it"...

in the full bathroom I just screwed it into the wall between the 2 entry doors ( master bedroom and hall) in the back half bath I keep it under the sink since there isn't much room
