Pin Box ID

We're looking at picking up a 2012 Cougar 28SGS hopefully next Saturday. I have a 2002 F250 crew cab short bed and as such I picked up a Pullrite 2900 slider that included a capture plate for a Lippert 1621 pin box. I've been texting the seller trying to identify the pin box on the trailer. He sent me a couple of pictures and it seems like I'm good with the plate I have. I'm just looking for a little confirmation from someone that may have the same setup. I couldn't really find much from the label he sent but I'll probably give the company a call tomorrow. Anyone have any idea what pin box this is?

The seller is a little distance away, otherwise I would take a trip out there. Thanks!

Lippert Pin Box

When I was looking to upgrade my pinbox I was getting very confused with all the numbers form the catalogs so I called Lippert, 574-537-8900, gave them my serial No. and they gave me all the information I need. I also told them what type of hitch I have and they were able to tell me if it would work.

I gave Lippert a call this morning and they confirmed that it is a model 1621. So, I guess I lucked out!

I'm truly not trying to be a Smart A**, but Silly Me!

I've been pulling multiple 5'ers, for over 25 years, and never gave it a second thought, except for bed clearance, and hitch weight rated capacity. I always figured one size fits all on the pin. Am I missing something here?

p.s. I would invest in a Teflon disk prior hooking up though.

You can't use a teflon disc with a PullRite SuperGlide hitch. The pivot point is not at the king pin. The capture plate engages the the hitch head and the sliding & turning head is the pivot point.
