Bad wall mounted thermostat??-fixed kinda
Hello all, new guy here on the forum.
We just bought a used 04 Montana 3400RL
Here’s the question, have wall mounted Dometic Duo Therm Heat Cool Furnace Thermostat, nothing fancy!!
When on AC, and it reaches desired temp, and shuts off—that part is great!! But when restarting it kind of sounds like a droning hum===NO-COOL-NO FAN—sounds bad, and would not want to leave it like that but for a second---but after some experimenting—I moved the fan tab from hi to lo a couple of times---and it would start working correctly again.
Do you think the problem is in the thermostat—ha ha that would be easy---or could it be in the AC unit.
Thanks for any feedback on this matter, Rocky
NOTE-FIXED KINDA--had neighbor who is AC man come check it out---
motor fan shaft is (tight) he lubricated shaft best he could--motor will NOT start on low fan--not enough umph--start on hi OK for now--needs a new motor, it appears to have set in the TX coast area for to long!!!
Thanks to all who replied!!!!
Rocky
