As far as running the wires, you can use
Wiremold surface mount channels that come in white or ivory and can be painted to match walls. If the wall you trying to mount on is an interior wall the studs are most likely 1½"x1½" wood and few and far between. I mounted a piece of ¾" plywood between two studs and framed and color matched it to the wall. Then I could mount the tv where I (really the wife) wanted it. The velcro straps and coachmans loops secure the tv for travel.
You can see the unfinished plywood in this photo which was fine for me but the boss sent me back to the drawing board.
