Post Interesting

Thanks dwoflv !! Amazing what another set of eyes can offer. Have to admit even though non TH's have ladders on back, never entered my mind to store the ladder on the back while traveling. Seems so simple now "Ladder sticks out to far on side; "Put on Back" Can not tell by the pictures, is it latched at the top similar to when ladder is on the side?? My rear awning is attached above the rear ramp. not sure if ladder would clear?? Do you have a picture of the top?? So now it looks like I have three options thanks to all of you 1.) leave ladder on while traveling and hopefully not catch on to too many things, 2.) cut in half so easier to store inside garage when traveling or 3.) attach to back when traveling and or until ramp is needed.

Weather starting to warm a little, can now see AC and roof vent covers

Thanks Again for all our your comments

I don't have any pictures of the top but it does loop over the grab rails that is mounted to the roof The camper is stored inside for the winter so I won't be able to tell if it would clear your awning

I think the MW would be good for storage. I usually keep bread in mine but if you had a FOLDING ladder you could keep it in the MW.

Thank You
Just another reason I need to have a folding ladder, did check MW manual for metal use "can use aluminum foil on bowl edges to reduce dying of content" Oh well first step is to get folding ladder.

Again, Thank You for your innovative comment(s)

I have a larger MW if that helps.

It's ok to keep metal in there as long as you don't turn it on. You must remove the ladder before use.

Seriously, I think the idea of mounting it on the back door is a good one, if it would work in your case.

I see the Ladder in the garage, unfortunately mine is filled to the rim when loaded for a trip..Thats why it stays mounted up on the side, for now, I like that rear option.. Gotta find some ladder mounts for the rear now.

Its a game a Tetris to fit all this in there.

Smittyrv, Everytime I see your rig picture its WHOW! Now that describes a RAPTOR TOY HAULER
Yes, that was a clever suggestion to put ladder on the back. As stated in my previous posts I do not feel comfortable traveling with it on the side, however, To date I have not decided which way I want to go: 1. put on back, 2. cut in half and store inside or 3. store inside in one piece. Maybe dwofly can chime in and let us know where he got his extra supports. I need to check if ladder on back will clear my rear awning.
To be Honest I am just hoping that the weather warms up so I can get out there. Think this week only highs in low 30's

Canesfan, Thanks for your scientific information

Talents of our Forum members continue to amaze me. Nice work !!

If you have a chance would like to get a picture of the top where you said to attaches to the roof support. I have a rear awning back there.

Thanks Again

Looks like may clear rear awning? Just curious is it sturdy enough to climb up the back. I know main reason was traveling storage.

THANKS, Much appreciated

I have used it to get on the roof so it is sturdy enough. It's the same distance out from the camper weather on the back or the side

dwoflv, Thanks Again for the pictures

Finally weather is starting to break, today tried ladder on the back and as you can see by the pictures, it is going to clear the awning on the back. Have to go and see how much these attachments are going to cost. Since you said you used it to get on roof, I assume you hit some meat when you screwed the attachments into the ramp?

The ramp probably has more meat than any where on any of the walls. I never thought of buying the mounts because I can make them. If you cant find them I could always turn up some more.
