Returning spare to its storage compartment
I have a Keystone 25RESWE. Had a flat tire. Called for road service & got the spare mounted in the flat's place. No problems. Had the mech put the flat in the back of pickup.
My problem now is that I can't fit the spare back in its storage space in the storage compartment underneath the trailer's hitch. The drive shaft (bar) for the landing gear won't allow the tire to be put back where it belongs.
Whether trying to put it in with the top of the tire first or the bottom of the tire first, the shaft doesn't allow enough room for the tire to be put back in storage. The attached photo shows what the compartment looks like. The big black horizontal bar is what's in the way.

Have you tried putting tire in with the outside in toward the bracket?
The black bar is the drive shaft foe the landing gear, so the tire should not touch it, as it turns.

No luck yet...
It may be difficult to see in the attached photo, but the rubber on the top of the tire contacts the drive shaft and the rubber on the bottom of the tire contacts the compartment opening.
Yes, I've tried replacing the spare with the outside of the wheel on top and with the inside of the wheel on the top, but it won't go either way because it contacts the rubber of the tire before the rim comes into play.

Have you tried putting the bottom in first, push it all the way back and then tilt the top on?

Yeah, it's not even close. I imagine it may take someone with the same rig that has solved it for the themselves already.

So questions;
Did you watch the mobile repair remove the tire?
Are you sure it goes behind the drive bar?
Is it possible the mobile repair person removed the bolt on the motor side of the bar and moved it aside? Make sure there is other support to the front if you remove the bar!

Have you thought about calling the same road service company back and asking how he removed it? From your pics it looks like a pretty good trick to tilt the tire under that bar.

Did you watch the mobile repair remove the tire?No I didn't see him do it. Are you sure it goes behind the drive bar?Yes and in the first photo you can see the two bolts that hold it there. Is it possible the mobile repair person removed the bolt on the motor side of the bar and moved it aside?Maybe, but seems unlikely because he removed it quickly. Have you thought about calling the same road service company back and asking how he removed it?I don't think that's possible. It was done by a third party working for Coach-Net and it was in May.

I found a picture of one installed and as you point out, the spare tire is behind that drive bar.
The only way that I can see to get it in there, is that bar is removable somehow.
Your one picture clearly shows the tire isn't going to just slide under the bar.

Here's a link to a video of your trailer. About the 1:45 mark it shows the spare. It doesn't appear to be as tall as what you have but is still behind the bar. I agree, I doubt he pulled that bar or he would have said something. On the other hand ?

Maybe a dumb idea, but would deflating the tire allow the tire to be re-mounted in its place? If so, you could then try and remove tire while inflated. Another thought, was the spare the same tire size as the others?

He last logged on a week ago so perhaps this mystery will never be solved.
