Small hole in roof membrane

Look like a tree limb got me. I have Dicor and Proseal with me. Is either a legitimate repair? Thanks in advance.

Hit it with some Dicor.

Clean it really well prior to dicor and then try that first. Then just monitor for signs of water intrusion around the area. I feel like that is an area where intrusion would happen under the membrane for awhile before you ever found anything inside.

Clean it really well for sure. You could put some dicor on it or even cut a small piece of Eternabond tape, cover it with that and put a little dicor over that.

The Dicor is self leveling. Will it run into the gutter?

The pic looks like that little hole is quite a ways from the edge...12"? Dicor is self leveling, very slow self leveling, but it won't make it near that far....it should be just fine.

The Dicor will not run into the gutter. It's a soft corking material make for rubber roofs. Personally for a small hole I'd clean it good and go with the Eternabond tape. The stuff bonds extremely well and will not be noticeable.

The damage is where the membrane rolls over the corner in the foreground of the pic. I cleaned it up with Dawn today.

I don’t have any Eternabond at the moment and the nearest RV store is 40 miles and much traffic from our campsite. I’m not moving the trailer for months so I think I’ll patch it with the Proseal until I can do better. Storm coming tomorrow.

Dicor would be my first choice as it’s meant to bond to the membrane.

Again, Dicor for a tiny hole and if it's not along the edge. A bit bigger, then Eternabond is your salvation. Our 5er caught a CG low hanging branch and a short strip of Eternabond has fixed several small dings

It is along the edge, the very edge as shown in the picture.

I cant see how Dicor self level could stay on the damaged area unless I build a dam of some sort, then remove it after the Dicor sets up. If anyone has a good way to do that, I'm all ears.

Looks like I have two choices, one is to use the Proseal (made for sealing TPO and I have a TPO roof) or set out to the city to find non leveling Dicor and Eternabond tape.

I can see my bin of repair stuff growing already.

I’ve used self leveling on an edge like that too many times to count.

The Dicor self leveling does not run like you are thinking. You don't need to build a dam. It's putty like and only sags some. I've never used Proseal so I know nothing about it.
Btw, most Walmarts will have Dicor and Eternabond tape.

I must be visiting the wrong Walmarts. The ones I've been in have about a dozen different kinds of tank treatment, mats, cleaners, and a few Camco items.

I’ve never seen Dicor or Eternabond at WMart either.

Mmm...I could swear I've seen them, but maybe I just thought I did?? I am getting old and my DW needs to keep reminding me of things I've said and done in the past. I never seem to remember those thing. Maybe it's a sign of my memory going?

Well, I do know I did get some Eternabond at a campground's store where we were staying last year. You might check in at any RV parks or campgrounds in the area. I think many would have it?

Yep, I think more and more of us are in that mode. I was asking DW today about a conversation we had had earlier today because it seemed my memory was a little different than hers. When our thoughts seemed to differ she just told me....."I'll tell you how it went". And there you go.

Eternabond is the go to roof repair while traveling. I carry a roll with me just in case some weird thing happens as we travel. Best Thing Since Sliced Bread.

Dam Building

Just a thought. If you are worried about the self leveling stuff running, I would suggest you use a "red cup" over the patch and tape it down with masking tape, then remove it in a couple of days. Just a suggestion from a master of the cheap fix . Side note, it will keep the rain out during the storm tomorrow too!!
