Texas State Parks contacted me a couple of days after I made the reservation... Whitney SP closed until at least Nov. 15 and maybe beyond due to flooding. So plan B in effect ... going to Navarro Mills Oak Park instead. Cheaper anyway, get full hookups (30A) for $10 a night with senior pass (ACE park)

Great Day

Great thing about living on the Gulf Coast is camping year round. Leaving Lafayette, LA to spent the week of Thanksgiving in Ocean Springs, MS. No forecast for any temps under 40 degrees. Plan to cook turkey outside. Miss snow but can go visit if I want to see it.

Tboudro, we don't mind you bragging about the weather. We'll be in south Florida soon enough. But if you start in on having gumbo and crawfish etouffee and the like, well, we're coming down there after you!
