New too!!!

Hi there, we are from MA, we currently have a Passport 24.5 RB travel trailer, have just got back to camping after about 5 years and got a self contained. We recently got a F250 v8 6.2 gas, in anticipation of getting a fifth wheel. We are looking around and investigating Keystone Laredo. Going to the RV show in February but want to get my homework done before so don't get wrapped up in all the excitement which is easy to do especially when you are serious about getting a new rig!!!! Thanking you all in advance for any advice you would share.

Welcome. The only advice I can give about RV shows is "Leave your checkbook home." Finding a floor-plan that fits YOUR family is most important. Sometimes the sales hipe of a show can cloud what is really important to you. Dealers can't bring all models to the show and there may be a similar model with one little difference that could make it the perfect fit. There is no reason a dealer can't hold a "Show Price" for a few weeks until you can go to their lot and spend some time in each model and verify what the salesperson has told you. You wouldn't buy a piece of fruit without squeezing it?? Take your time ...it's a big investment . Good luck in your decision, Hank

X3 Buying an RV at a show, while tempting, may not be the best place or time to purchase. As Hank pointed out above, it is a big investment. Before you sign on the dotted line and drive it away -- from any place --- show, dealership, etc., I would highly recommend that you do a very thorough Pre-delivery inspection to make sure everything is to your satisfaction and everything works! There is a PDI checklist available on the forum for you to download if you wish. Good luck with your shopping. Do your research and be patient.
