dealer coating worth it?
I have a Coleman aluminum top and sided TT. The dealer sold me (or should I say "twisted my arm") on a interior/exterior coating package by Platinum Protection Systems. I says it has a lifetime protection warranty. Anyone have any experience with this pos or neg?

I don't have any experience with your package specifically, but it sure reminds me of the old rustproofing/undercoating scam that car dealers used to try and pull on people.

I don't have experience with those product either but, as was said, it sure sounds like the "paint protection", "interior protection" etc. put on cars that were nothing more than a spray on application that disappeared at the first cleaning.

Sure looks to me like a "paint" protection system as mentioned. I would probably have that taken out of the deal.

I got "convinced" to buy it bythe dealer selling me my RV because I simply got tired of listening to the sales pitch. That won't happen again. They will clail their cost for a couple of bottles of stuff is hundreds of dollars and that they are selling it to you at a loss as a favor to you. It's nothing more than car wash liquid.
Spend some of that money on some Scotchgard and bottle of detergent.

When we bought our New '13 model my wife insisted in a package like that. Out trailer had the fading front cap issue and was repainted this fall. If nothing else, it was fun watching Keystone and the coating company deciding who was going to pay what for the repair. At any rate, I got a $1400 paint job free. Of course, I did pay $900 for the finish warranty but I think Keystone has been paying for the bad paint in most cases anyway.

My story is the same as Dave45039.
I got the Maxguard plan on my 2013 31RE. I experienced fading on the top 24 inches of the front cap. Maxguard is paying $2800 for a repaint. My plans original cost was about $700 and rolled into the financing

Actually, I was never told what the job cost but they did a great job on it.
