wet bolts

I have undertaken the act of wet bolting my 3912. the plastic bushings are toast. the bushings are in the freezer. the only thing I wish was I had ordered bolts extra for the equa flex . the guy at lippert talked me out of it??? I guess they want my equa flex to wear out prematurely like everything else. I am going to see if I can find the bolts locally if not im going back to lippert. I plan on taking video stay tuned.

tag for video. off to find out what you're talking about.
(I get to learn something)

Oh I see now. How long did the bushings last?

Not sure if you have them in Alabama, but, 'Redneck Trailer' has them along with just about any other suspension/brake parts you might need.

Are you replacing with new bushings and wet bolts along with doing the new heavier upgraded shackles at the same time? I wouldn't waste my time just doing the wet bolts and bushings. If it were me and everything is apart I would get the shackles also and call it a done deal. I replaced my suspension with the full Dexter kit when the trailer was 6 months old. It is now serviceable and you can notice a difference in how the trailer pulls and rides.

oh no

the problem I had was that tech at lippert recommended the wrong kit. their website only shows one 3 axle kit for the equaflex system which mine has. the only problem is lippert uses different shackle lengths. mine is a 2.25 inch center shackle. the kit is a 3.13 inch center. after talking and waiting on tech support to call back not I called and got in touch with parts. after a bit I told her to just send me 12 2.25 inch shackles and I can get it put together. so they are suppose to be sending me 12 shackles. I SWEAR DEALING WITH LIPPERT IS LIKE PULLING TEETH!!!!!!!!!!. next time I am dealing with someone else even though it is a lippert system.

abneynormal, Howdy;

Freezing the bushings is good, ... freezing them in an alcohol bath
is better. The alcohol gets them colder and helps the moisture
evaporate faster (less corrosion).
