Winterizing the Bullet 246rbs

To 246rbs owners what is the best way to winterize the tt?

I know there are different methods and I'm wondering what way we have all chosen. I have yet to locate the water pump which I believe is next to the hamper. With space allowed is seems like its not going to be easy to attach a anti-freeze supply hose.

Brian -
You can get information about the way various members winterize their RV's by doing a forum search on this topic "winterization" or "winterizing". While there are some minor differences from model to model, the process is essentially the same.

I think Keystone has a video on winterization which you might check out by visiting this website: www.keystonerv.com.

If you do a Google search on Winterizing an RV, you will find dozens of sites all of which outline the basic steps.

When you locate the pump, as long as you can get your hands and most of your arms in there to disconnect and connect hoses, you should be fine. You'll also have to find the HW bypass valve to your HW tank. You need to drain this tank and shut off the water supply to it so you don't pump 6 gallons or so of RV antifreeze into it.

The water is int the panel in front of the hamper. You will needto remove the 4 screws on top. The water heater bypass is going to on the back of the water directly behind it.

Good luck.

Brian, the water pump is indeed under that box by the hamper opening. 4 screws and you are in. You will also need to open up the dinette seat closest to the door to access the water heater bypass. Again, 4 screws to remove the bench under the cushion. You will need to get a winterizing pump kit as the bullets don't come with one unless you had the dealer install one for you. I have to do the same thing this year. Last winter I blew everything out with compressed air but it made me too nervous letting it sit that way. We had a very mild winter so we got lucky.

My pump has the quick connect fittings, so I ordered another fitting off Amazon and got a length of hose from the depot and then you have a winterizing kit! I even leave the hose in the pump area so I don't lose it, works great.

Flojet Pump Connector

Amazon and search for "connector for flojet rv pump" it will show you 3 different ones all of which work on the pump. The one you need is the Hose Barb Quad port fitting. I went to Lowe's, got a 3' hose and a hose clamp and snapped it in. Started siphoning the anti-freeze from the jug. Took less than 2 gallons.

Thank you for the reply and link. I did find these on Amazon, ordered them and plan to winterize today. You get 2 in a pack on the 90 degree ones I got.
By posting the link I hope it will help others.
Thanks again.
