covering a RV in Florida

I will be heading home to Michigan from central Florida in a week or so. I notice no one covers their RV's when there stored outside. Is there a reason people don't cover them? I'm storing mine down here and want to cover it to protect it from all the sun, is there any reason I shouldn't?

They don’t stand the winds very well and wear bare spots in the finish. And seal in moisture.

The moisture and high humidity will leave you with moss grown to your roof when you come back. Algae and everything else grow which leaves a huge mess on those I've seen that did it. Of course, if you leave it parked under trees etc. you will have all of that debris. Those are considerations in addition to those listed by Jim.

I’d look into covered storage
