Kitchen cabinet not easily accessible

Any one have a Cougar 25RES FW and have difficulty reaching things in the overhead cabinet between the entry door and the microwave. My wife is 5'4" and cannot reach things on the top shelf, or near the back of the lower shelf because the L-shaped counter top is right in the way. Right now she uses a foot stool to compensate, but gets tired of trying to keep it out of her way when doing other work around the sink and stove. There is also a side door on the cabinet, but she still can't reach things further back on the upper shelf.

It's a minor inconvenience, but if someone else had the same problem and found an easy workaround it would be much appreciated.

My wife has the same problem in our 26RBSWE, to the point where she simply keeps all the dinnerware and cups crammed in the smaller "easy" cabinet on the side, and leaves the larger "hard" cabinet for larger appliances and things she doesn't use often, relying on "honeydo" to fetch those.

Have you considered one of those stepstools that folds flat by simply lifting the middle? That might solve the "in the way" problem if you can tuck it up against a surface where it won't fall over.

We purchased one of those 16"/18" folding step stools for our sons to access the top bunk in our 2400BH. It is the best accessory for an RV; we also use it as an extra chair; an end-table for outdoors, a step stool to hang our awning lights, ets. We just got the 25Res and I know I will be using it to access those upper cabinets! Happy camping.

I think most of us with "vertically challenged spouses" (no partiality to gender) find the top cabinets difficult to reach. I'm 6'2" and there are some cabinets in our "mid height Cougar" that pose a challenge to me.

We bought a folding step stool that is easy to pick up with the middle hand hole and it automatically folds flat. It's easy to store in a lower cabinet or to slip behind the sofa.

If you decide to try this "solution" be sure to purchase a folding step stool that has "angled sides" (larger at the bottom than at the top). There are some square ones on the market and they tend to "tip over if you aren't balanced in the center" so using one of them might lead to a nasty fall if you're not careful !!!!!

Everyone "knows" the top shelf is where you keep the chocolate chip cookies so the DW doesn't sneak any while you're outside doing all the "hard work"
My opinion...Design Intent

I thought that was for "medicine" (Dr Daniels, Dr Walker, miracle cures).

I'm 6'1" and can't reach the back of the overhead cabinet or under the sink. First thing I did was add a shelf to each and block off the back of the cabinet. If things got shoved back there it was difficult to retrieve, now nothing can get pushed back there out of reach.

I added a couple of shelves in some of our taller cabinets. But a folding step is a permanent fixture in our rig.

We've found that those tall cabinets are where you put the "where in the heck does this go" stuff. Keep putting those things "up there" and voila!...3-4 years from now it's like Christmas!! Wow, look honey, THIS is where that "special sauce" from Sopchoppy went!!

Got 4 drawer boxes with full extension drawer slides. Will be going in the 4 cabinets. Will be easy to get to everything with a step stool
