Valterra secondary sewer valve

I'm using a new Valterra secondary sewer valve (the old one seems to have grown legs and wandered off). This new one wont latch on the lugs as tightly.

Has anyone added a couple screws to the valve body at the attaching point to keep it from coming loose at an inopportune time (you can probably guess why I'm asking this question).

Any other 'fixes'?

I thought about that but Gorilla Glue is too good in that If I ever have to remove/replace the valve - I can't

I just bought one to install. I’ll let you know if it’s loose. I sure hope not.

You'll find out first when you try to disconnect your slinky. Secondly, the valve actually rotates while attached but when you try to adjust it for ease of operating the 'T' handle it may detach and how I dumped a couple gallons of s#&%ty water over my, luckily, nitrile gloved hands and under the 5er (well washed down ny many gallons of water)

I don't think screws are the answer. the cheap plastic they use probably won't take the torque applied when connecting

Just a thought... I've never had good luck mixing Valtera with Camco without some leakage issues. I usually stay with the same brand start to finish, and look for fitting ends with the four point connectors.

Mine is now installed. It is on pretty tight. It does seem like it may rotate when I disconnect the slinky from it. There is friction there but not a lot.

I added a large band clamp around the tabs after twisting the valve on, been tight for several thousand miles & easily removed if needed.

Worth a try though I thought the plastic might be too thick.

Update: Put a gear drive clamp on and around the tabs and that valve seems to be tight. It still rotates as it should. Hopefully that valve wont twist off when I adjust the slinky or the macerator, whichever one I use
